Giving Birth with Confidence (one day intensive) | $199

Preparing for birth does not guarantee that your labor will go smoothly, but it can certainly tip the odds in your favor. This single-session, six-hour childbirth classes are based on the idea that birth is a profound life event and that it offers opportunities for learning and growth. This class involves both education and exploration of feelings about pregnancy, birth, and parenting. Our One-Day Intensive is ideal for busy families who don't have time to take a longer class. This holistic class covers everything you need to know about labor and focuses on fostering confidence in your ability to give birth, the process of labor and birth, being part of decision making and building realistic expectations about your birth. We will discuss signs of labor, how to avoid an unnecessary C-section, explore options for pain relief,  learn about optimal fetal positioning, relaxation techniques, and partner massage for labor.

HypnoBirthing® (5 classes) | $385

HypnoBirthing® is based upon the idea that childbirth is a natural and gentle process and that birth can be a joyous and fulfilling event. Our culture has instilled in women a sense of fear regarding childbirth, with images of painful, chaotic births. But, this is not the natural state of birthing. When a woman understands her body and the birth process, is in a nurturing and supportive environment, and is relaxed and confident, the result is a peaceful and beautiful birthing experience for both mama and baby.

HypnoBirthing® is a proven method of childbirth education and preparation that helps a mother to give birth in a peaceful manner. Classes combine breathing and relaxation techniques, visualizations, meditative practices, and attention to a better understanding of the actual birthing process, so that a birthing mother may leave fear at the door and welcome her baby into the world with confidence, in a calm and conscious way.

HypnoBirthing® is presented in a series of five, 2 1/2-hour classes. Fee covers individual/couple. Recommended anytime after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Birthing From Within® (5 weeks) | $275

A unique childbirth preparation course that teaches new and expectant parents everything about the process of birth and mindfulness to the spiritual aspect of birth. We discuss the "un-spoken" topics and engage in several fear facing activities using a variety of teaching methods which include: contraction stimulation, birth art, games, discussions and more.

We believe birth is unique for each expecting couple and focus on meeting the individual needs of each participant. We use a calm, safe, group environment so we can learn from one another and build community. Couples walk away with a better connection to themselves, their partners, and their baby. It is presented in a series of five, 2.5 hour classes.

Preparing for an Out of Hospital Birth | $99

The decision to have a planned home or birth center birth, to step outside the standard maternity care system, changes the course of pregnancy and birth in powerful ways and often involves a great deal of information gathering and personal reflection. Each woman has a unique approach to preparing for her home birth  One size does not fit all. Giving birth outside of the hospital allows you to labor and deliver in familiar and comfortable surroundings. You'll have more control over your birth experience than you would in a hospital, and you won't have to experience routine medical interventions. You will need to be committed to giving birth without medication, preparing your home for the birth (including getting whatever supplies your caregiver recommends), and making plans to ensure that you have good support available to you in the days after you give birth. Because you are giving birth in your own home or a birth center, planning for comfort and support can be less complex than planning to give birth in the hospital. Chances are you've already discussed the logistics of home / birth center birth with your midwife. As you get closer to your due date, there are things you will need to consider to get ready for the big day. Who will cook? Who will watch your other children? Who will be present? This class is designed to help the women and their partners think about what they specifically needed to feel safe and comfortable at home or at a birth center as they plan their birth.
